Are you tired of those dark spots that won’t go away? I’ve finally found the secret to getting rid of those nasty dark spots and having bright, glowing skin. You can read all about it in my recent article on how to get rid of pigmentation and get white, bright skin! Check it out here!
Golden rules
Try adding some sunscreen to your routine. Your skin will be sensitive from the peel so you don't want to skip out on this step in your skincare routine. Rub sunscreen all over your face before you head out for the day, every day. The sun is a powerful source of free radicals so don't forget about this important step in your beauty regime! Be aware that if you're going for a more drastic result like removing freckles or hyperpigmentation from acne scars, sunblock is not enough protection from the lightening ingredient in these products - wear heavy duty SPF 50 or higher on a daily basis.
Things to Know
A healthy diet is essential for removing pigmentation because the skin gets its color from the blood vessels that it's nourishing.
Vaseline with SPF 30 should be applied after washing your face because it seals in moisture that prevents dryness and sun damage while also protecting against harmful UV rays that cause pigmentation.
One can use a product like Exposed Skin Lightening Serum which contains powerful ingredients like hydroquinone and licorice extract to fade dark spots on the skin. These types of products are available online or in drugstores.
Reasons why you have dark spots on your face
Drink lots of water to help get rid of dehydration and increase the turnover rate of skin cells.
Eat foods rich in vitamin C to promote collagen production like berries, citrus fruits, tomatoes or pineapples.
Keep your face as clean as possible (skip things like sugar scrubs that can actually do more harm than good).
Stay out from direct sunlight for at least a few hours each day and wear sunscreen when outside (remember that sunscreen needs to be reapplied after perspiring or being in the pool).
What Causes Hyperpigmentation?
Hyperpigmentation is caused by an over-production of melanin in the skin. This over-production usually stems from injuries to the skin, such as picking or squeezing zits. It can also be caused by too much sun exposure, inflammation in the skin or by pregnancy. This can happen anywhere on your body that has melanin cells in it including your back, buttocks, neck and face. Hyperpigmentation is not a serious health risk; but if you experience hyperpigmentation often, it can make you uncomfortable in social situations where you want to wear minimal clothing (like swimwear). If left untreated hyperpogromation can lead to the dark spots becoming permanent which means they may never go away again.
Natural Ways to get rid of pigmentation
Use a skin brightening mask once or twice a week. This can help reduce the appearance of discoloration in your skin while giving it a more vibrant tone. These masks are packed with ingredients like licorice root extract and antioxidants which give your skin an instant brightness boost. You can also add green apple extract or honey in the ingredients if you want something that will work for both dry skin types as well as oily ones. Drink plenty of water throughout the day. Drinking water is a good habit for anyone - but people with darker pigmented skin will find that this helps to hydrate the skin and flush out toxins from within it at the same time.
